Dear Community Members, Assalamu’alaykum

I hope you enjoyed the Eid To-Go lunch and treats that the volunteers at IABA had prepared for you. The event was very well managed, just as the one before. It gave the children and adults the opportunity to visit the Center, albeit, none were allowed to get off the car or roam around for safety reasons.

On behalf of the community, a special thank you to Br. Mohammad Ali and his volunteers who worked all night to prepare lunch for us, the social committee, Sr. Maryam, Sr. Hussna and the volunteers who helped them make the pastry and cookie bags and the gift bags for the kids, the food committee and their volunteers and last but not the least, Br. Abbas Bandali and his volunteers for managing the traffic. I have included a few pictures of the event here.

I would like to thank and congratulate the community for their generous support during the Ramadan Fund drive. Alhamdulillah, we were not only able to meet our fundraising goal of $21,000, but exceed it. The final tally of collected funds was $23,105. On behalf of Sheikh Jafar, EC and myself, thank you to Br. Asher Syed for running a successful Ramdan Go-FundMe drive.

We held our Spring GBM this past Saturday. I hope you participated. I would reiterate, that it is important for all of us to attend the GBM as it provides you with a good summary of the affairs of the center, current projects and the priorities of the EC and Sheikh Jafar. It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and offer suggestions. Our next GBM will be in the Fall this year.

I also hope you enjoyed the programs that the Program Committee and Sheikh Jafar offered during the month of Ramadan. My gratitude and appreciation to the members of the program committee who worked very hard to provide you all with quality programs during Ramadan. I am very impressed with how quickly they were able to setup our online presence and programming.
